Around View Monitoring gives the bridge one real-time picture of everything surrounding the hull — including the blind sectors a conventional camera layout leaves out.
Surround view
A 360-degree panoramic image is stitched from the ship own cameras, with digital pan, tilt and zoom into any part of it. No mechanical head to seize up, and no sector goes unwatched while the operator is looking elsewhere.
Visual augmentation
Navigation data is drawn over the live image: own-vessel track, heading, buoy positions and distance grids, taken from the GPS, AIS, gyro and speed log already fitted.
Maritime cameras
Housings are forged from STS316L stainless steel and the units are MIL-STD shock and vibration tested, for permanent exposure on deck rather than sheltered mounting.
